Don’t Be a Yo-yo
Have you ever known anyone who loses weight, only to gain it back again? That’s because they made a temporary change in behavior, not a permanent one. They went “on a diet” and when they achieved their goals, they went “off the diet.” Their weight went down, and then came back up again just like a yo-yo. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the bad habits that made them fat in the first place would also make them fat again as soon as they returned to those same habits. In order to make permanent changes in your body, you will have to make permanent changes in your behavior.
The Basics
There are 3 ways your body can function:
- Weight Gain Mode
- Weight Maintenance Mode
- Weight Loss Mode
A Yo-yo goes from weight gain, to weight loss, to weight gain again. Not only is that an ineffective plan, it is an unhealthy plan.
